Fan Films and Shorts

This is a thread that you post the fan films, shorts and low budget films that you find online. If you'd like, PM me the links and I'll put them in this first post so that they don't get lost among the rabble.

Out of all the short films and indie movies everyone posts, you don't want to post them now that there is a thread for it?

Yes it would. I have it saved to my computer as well. I watch it from time to time. I wish the creator of it would release it on DVD. If you go and look, you can find some outtakes for it as well.

No big...it's just an allusion to a genre you don't dig. If you knew your gialli you'd get it in a big way.

gorefanatic 04-28-2007 05:07 AM

I did some research on giallo and it indeed has quite a following. Can you give me a couple titles that you feel could convert me? I would like to check it out, but im afraid a bad flick would ruin it for me.

It's such an odd acquired taste that it might not do any good. I couldn't get into them for years. But my favorite ones are...

Tenebre
Deep Red
Torso
Twitch of the Death Nerve
Blood and Black Lace
The Bird with the Crystal Plumage

Mictlantechutli 04-30-2007 08:36 AM

Cool little film. Love the Gialli

newb 05-11-2007 08:12 PM

Not bad....nice editing....good lighting....acting wasn't horrible.

VampiricClown 05-14-2007 10:10 AM

The Darkness Before The Dawn

Very nice. I actually got a jump out of it. Keep up the good work.

It's an animated short adaptation of Poe's "The Tell Tale Heart" as read by James Mason!

Thanks BloodRayne for making this a sticky.

The new films will be added to the main list now.

MisterSadistro 06-03-2007 07:18 PM

A Spider Beside Her
Here's a short I did music for. It will likely end up on the DVD feature film I'm doing now along with the first short I did with the same company. I only added this since someone was talking about their music in another thread.

Drip

I remember quite a few years ago I happened to catch a short on tv, late at night.

It was called "Drip" (IIRC) and was about a women coming to a new house for the first time (her husband was going to arrive later). She settles down for bed with the pet dog but is affected by a constant dripping sound in the bathroom.

It was so spooky - she keeps going to the bathroom to sort it out and once back into bed, puts her hand down by the side of the bed to stroke the dog, she does this for a while and then the drip starts up again. She gets out of bed, goes to the bathroom and finds the dog hanging up with its throat or guts cut open (cant remember quite what!).

In horror, she wonders what she was stroking down by the side of the bed.

The camera slowly pans away from her horrified face, back to her bedroom and under the bed and underneath in the dark is some kind of demon.

It was brilliant!

Has anyone else seen this short film and, most importantly, does anyone know where I can get it from. Spent hours googling, trying to find it but couldnt :(

Out of curiosity - what did others think of Drip?

Proves a point to me, how de-sensitised we become after years of watching the gore fest type films that came out.

Drip did scare me the first time I saw it years ago - obviously watched it again the other day and the end scene just didnt do it for me anymore. The lead up is still spooky and atmospheric and the slow crawl to the scene under the bed is freaky but the end *flash* of the demon was an anti-climax!

VampiricClown 06-15-2007 05:49 AM

I haven't watched the full thing yet. I just scanned through it to see if it was the correct film. I have it saved to my computer for later watching though. I'll let you know what I think of it then.

john wilkes booth 06-15-2007 07:51 PM

Drip was really cool. I used to love these short little films too. I never seen this one but it really fits right in. Scary crap. The one with the guy making the mouse trap is kind of eerie too. I think that ones on youtube now too.

john wilkes booth 06-15-2007 07:57 PM

I just checked out youtube. Type in "short film horror" and see what comes up. There are a ton of cool ass flicks there. Some old, some new and some that are totally wacked out. Youtube is pretty awesome. Too bad life sucks so much, cause that site almost makes life worth living. Being Emo really sucks sometimes. :(

I've only just started getting into Youtube, believe it or not! Got so many other sites that I visit, that its one place I havent been attracted too. But with the info on here and the odd link being passed in my inbox, I am getting to go there more and more. There is sooooooo much out there!!

I'm still in awe of the WWW

You can find info on anything and everything.... love it :D

Guys and gals here are talking about "EMO" as if it's a passing phase or fashion.

Correct me if I am wrong, but you are on about bi-polar and possible strong suicidal tendancies??
