I had a dream last night
 

It was so vivid it felt like it should be a screenplay. That said I might start working on my first screenplay. Lol. I typed up some key points below to start it off. I have the rest built out in my head.

Basic old school slasher with a twist.

Reality TV/Game Show

6 friends having a game night.

There is a unexpected knock at door.

Nothing is visible through the peephole.

When door is opened there is a package on the ground.

Scene flips to a very cliché gameshow host with a Bob Barker mike. A scene showing the inside of the house is playing behind him on a old fashioned tube tv.

Smiling oddly wide he says in a generic gameshow host voice “Now we see if they want to play!” as you see the young lady at the door pick up the box and bring it to the table where they are playing.

Scene flips back to the inside of the house.

The girl opens the box and a shot of confetti fills the room briefly before landing on the table, she jumps back and screams.

Laughing at herself she stares into the box full of curiosity.

Grabbing the box she flips it over spilling its contents all over the table.

There are six small black pucks and a envelop.

Each person grabs a puck, a ripple of discussion flows through them as they turn them over in their palms.

Simultaneously each person lets out a sharp gasp.

The small black pucks have shot out tiny, sharp legs and attached themselves to their palms. Small trickles of blood seep out of the places where the legs attached.

They all try to pull the puck off and panic begins to spread as they realize it grabs tighter every time they pull on it.

A small red LED starts to flash on each puck.

The girl moves to pick up the envelope.

Her boyfriend reaches for it and gets to it first, she doesn’t seem to mind.

Opening it he reads, first silently with a shocked look on his face, then allowed.

“Congratulations! You’ve been selected for the highest honor! Tonight you will be playing against one of our toughest competitors! He is strong, He is smart, and He is coming for you! You get 30 seconds to prepare from the time you opened the box, hopefully you didn’t waste any time playing with the tracking devices… Survive the night and when the sun comes up the tracker will detach and He will stop. Good luck!”

He opens his mouth and begins to say “What the…” When the front door explodes inward.

A giant hulking man comes through shoulder first. His arms are pulled back and fire engine red axe is in his hands.

He whips the axe with a quick baseball swing, making no noise at all.

The boyfriends head pops off of his neck, turns over three times in the air and lands upside down back on his body.

The puck quickly detaches and falls to the floor, the LED going out.

Everyone else at the table has scattered.

The giant man screams in pleasure and starts eyeballing everyone as they split.

Scene flips back to The Host. With the same possibly permanent giant smile spread across his face “It looks like its going to be a great night everyone! Don’t go anywhere, buckle in and enjoy the ride!” Playing on the screen behind him the body of the boyfriend lays limp over the table that was once full of laughter. His head has rolled across the table and landed facing the camera. The giant man is gone from the scene as well as the 5 remaining friends.

The camera zooms pass The Host and onto the screen until we are back in the house.

So its like this guy can find them no matter where they are due to these little devices or do the devices just show that they are still alive?

Straight up tracking devices. The game is meant to be stacked against them.

It plays into the whole scheme later on. Ive got it pretty fleshed out in my head.

Well, it piqued my interest! Hope your family is doin' well.

Their doing great. Things are a little weird right now, but on the family side, things are good.

Things are well. Gearing up for Christmas. Early snow this year for us up in Canada. It came early and stayed!
