Just got these movies...

I have been a fan of the old classics since watching them on Channel 9 here in New York City years ago on an old black and white TV(anyone remember thoses?LOL!!!).

I remember one summer they played one every night from Monday through Friday night at 11:30 pm.

And one particular night it rained, adding to the atmosphere. As a young kid I was seriously into these movies and still am.

So I recently purchased some of the Universal Pictures Classic Monsters Series-

Dracula
Frankenstein
Bride of Frankenstein
The Invisible Man
The Mummy
The Wolf Man
Creature from the Black Lagoon

As a collector, I had in my collection the 75th Anniversary Editions of Dracula and Frankenstein and I have to say that even though the packaging is really nice, I am at a loss as to what was actually done in the remastering process of these films.

The quality is exactly the same as the ones from the Universal Series.

But I digress. These were the movies that I enjoyed as a child and still love to this day.

Tonight it seems as if we will have rain with thunder so I will sit back exactly at 11:30 pm and relive my love of these flicks starting with Frankenstein, just like Chanel 9 did so many years ago.

Still scary as hell, even now. I don't care what anyone thinks.

Very cool selection (thought I'm still more of an RKO man myself).
