Which is better? Jaws or Deep Blue Sea

I was reading the Jaws thread and it gave me an idea for a poll. Which is better? Jaws or Deep Blue Sea. My choice would have to be Deep Blue Sea.

avenger00soul 10-26-2003 04:41 PM

Are you kidding, that aint no choice at all.

Gosh, I know... Deep Blue Sea has got this in the bag! :p

Jaws is a classic shark attack movie. Nothing has beat it to this date, and I don't think anything will.

_Leatha_Face_ 10-26-2003 07:49 PM

omg ur dreaming JAWS kille DBS lol the shraks look like cartoons in that movie lol except that kool scene when that shark bit off the scientists arm

nightbreed 10-27-2003 10:44 AM

i prefer to think of it like this

after seeing jaws MILLIONS of people were afraid to get in any body of water. After DBS i think most of us were just scared that LL cool J would be in the sequel.

spyk_ 10-27-2003 11:23 AM

Jaws! Jaws! Jaws!

Did I mention Jaws?

meetthecreeper 10-27-2003 05:02 PM

JAWS just for "Quint" Heres to swimmin' with bowlegged women'

anti shark cage huh, you go in the cage, cage goes in the water, sharks in the water, our shark, farewell ado you fare spanish ladies farewell ado you ladies of spain.

Ritualistic 11-05-2003 07:04 PM

I really like both of these movies. Jaws is a classic and Deep Blue sea is somewhat original. What I like about DBS is it is unpredictable. What I thought was going to happen really didnt, plus you cant beat those chomping scenes..

dabruce16 11-05-2003 07:35 PM

i love both of the films. but jaws scared me a whole lot more then dbs. i was afraid to shower, take a bath, go swimming in a lake. all the crazy shit after i saw jaws.

long live jaws

Sick_As_Fuck 11-05-2003 10:48 PM

I love both films. Deep Blue Sea is all action though, while JAWS actually put fear into people's hearts concerning sharks. Crazy.

_Leatha_Face_ 11-06-2003 05:19 AM

Deep Blue Sea would've been better if the F/X's would've been better but jaws iz a classic

D'Lo 11-06-2003 06:44 AM

Deep Blue Sea had its moments, but Jaws is a true classic and it was scarier than Deep Blue Sea.

MichaelMyers 11-06-2003 10:01 AM

Deep Blue Sea can't hold Jaws jock strap.

FreddyFan 11-10-2003 04:33 PM

The only reason I voted Deep Blue Sea is because i've never seen jaws. Whenever i go to buy it it's not in stock and whenever i go to rent it it is not in stock. crazy as hell isn't it.

MorbidNightmare 11-10-2003 04:39 PM

Deep Blue Sea should have stayed in the Deep Blue Sea and never surfaced!@ Horrible movie!

FreddyFan 11-10-2003 05:58 PM

good joke morbidnightmare.:)

Ritualistic 11-10-2003 06:04 PM

spoiler

I love the scene where the bitch sacrifices her life at the end and she gets chomped up.... HMMMMMMMMMMMMMM fucking awesome movie if you ask me...

Lady V 11-11-2003 06:36 AM

JAWS is the best, casue itīs classic

allmykids 11-11-2003 06:47 AM

i will say to this day jaws kept me out of the ocean. but i liked deep blue was better but that might be because llcool j was in it.

~Equilibrium~ 11-11-2003 09:44 AM

I have seen Jaws soo many times .....Yawn...Deep is at least fun to watch cuz of the deaths..

_Leatha_Face_ 11-11-2003 11:36 AM

u gotta think of the year jaws was made it was like 78 or something anyways its OLD and DBS had computer F/X so of course DBS iz gonna have more gory death seens

FreddyFan 11-11-2003 03:09 PM

Yeah DBS would have better deaths but it's more of how scary the movie is. DBS didn't make people afraid to go in the ocean or any other body of water. Jaws did. That's what matters. I think if it's older it's going to be better because they don't try to use a lot of new F/X. Even though some new ones are good.

Deep Blue Sea was da bomb if u ask me

Evisceration 01-27-2004 08:43 AM

Deep Blue Sea, only because it doesn't have any shitty sequals after it.

Sam The Egg 01-27-2004 08:50 AM

Deep Blue Sea sucked ass. I don't care about Sequels, Jaws is way better.

Vodstok 01-27-2004 09:00 AM

Deep Blue Sea vs Jaws proves that practical effects are more convincing than digital. everything is digital these days and there needs to be some restraint.

DBS is way too complicated to start with. Too unlikely. Jaws is unrealistic (Peter Benchly is a retard), but it is cocievable that a shark might decide to make humans it's main prey.

However, what company on earth would invest the millions of dollars necesarry to make an underwater test facility to use genetically engineered mako sharks to study alzheimers? i imagine using mice in a lab would be more cost effective. They would use apes long before sharks.

Signs515 01-27-2004 12:33 PM

I enjoyed both of these movies, only difference is I enjoyed Jaws 50x more.

Dr.Kelvinstein 01-27-2004 12:37 PM

uh...Renny Harland directed Deep Blue Sea. He's one of the worst directors of all time. I won't even mention his Nightmare movie, but think about it....Cut Throat Island, Driven, Long Kiss Goodnight (yes, he somehow managed to screw up a Shane Black script), Cliff Hanger, and how could I forget the second Die Hard movie? Plus, he dresses like he should be on the cover of a romance novel. Gena Davis even divorced him for, among other things, trashing her career with bad movies.

I can agree with all that, but Ford Fairlane is still one of the greatest cult films ever.

"Clint Eastwood...I fucked 'im! OOOOOOOOO!!"

Elvis_Christ 01-27-2004 01:36 PM

Deep Blue Sea sucked! The shark in Jaws still looks more real than that piece of shit in Deep Blue Sea.

Leslie Daher 01-28-2004 03:47 AM

This is a trick question, right??? are you kidding me? um...let's see....

JAWS

buddy 01-28-2004 08:02 AM

Are you serious?!?! You can't even compare the two! Jaws is a CLASSIC!!!!

I still like Deep Blue Sea, but, come on!

Magdalena_death 02-01-2004 11:39 AM

Jaws is the best. DBS was ok.. considering i was alittle younger when i was it. but, Jaws is a classic and it did scare me to go in the water. so hands down Jaws wins my vote. DBS should have stayed in the lab and never even ventured out. Thast what i say

HappyCamper 02-01-2004 07:39 PM

Jaws is on TBS like every other weekend !

Arioch 02-01-2004 09:47 PM

Like its been said, Jaws made millions (including myself) forever afraid to go to the ocean and bodies of water.

Deep Blue Sea just made me afraid of going back to the theater:rolleyes:
