monsters versus scary humans

r things like chucky and zombies and freddy kruger scarier then people like the guy from texas chainsaw massascare or hannibel lecter or christian bales charicter in american psycho

I tend to think the human element to be more frightening. At least there is the possibility that some deranged creep could possibly inflict that kind of carnage. I do enjoy the monster type villians also, find them quite entertaining at times......:)

i like mosters. when iwatch a movie which is about humans i just think ill get my gun and shoot him.
merry christmas

What if the fact that you ARE a monster, is what MAKES you a 'scary human'?.....Something to ponder...

in a movie i prefer monsters ... i think they are more 'effective' rather than scary.
People have limitations - can be stopped.
An undying or damn near impossible to kill creature has more potential in a film. (for me)

people are scary in real life (and yes .... are the monsters)

when i'm watching a movie i cant escape the fact that I'm watching actors - no one is really getting killed, etc - so i prefer to go all the way with the fantasy and enjoy something supernatural or unworldly.

if i want to see monsters in real life, i'll watch the news .. or go visit the place where i used to work ..

chucky can't stand.... freddy was good but laughable,as for other monsters, some I like such as zombies, werewolves and vampires etc.

humans in horror can be unnerving.... it's the ones with the fucked up minds who are able to appear normal, but know how to use this against you to get what they want.

I like ex-humans, the ones Shanks referred to as monsters. Vampires, werewolves and zombies all have terrifying potential, especially ina movie, because if the marketing people are good enough to hide that they are in the movie before its release, it can be quite an unhappy surprise when you find out an apparently normal person is really a creature. The wole hidden terror/loss of humanity thing is wonderfully effective.

if nothing else, read the first page of father dillon's funeral,

I used that technique in the beginning.

You could also check out the 'True Crimes' Forum, right here at Horror.Com......I have seen TOO much...I know what REAL monsters are...

I usually prefer human killers to 'monsters'...I like movies about stuff that could really happen. I just prefer movies to be more believable...though I like the unrealistic monster movies too.

Jack in the Shining is one of the scariest humans I can think of. Much scarier than let's say Freddy Krueger imo.
