Ridley Scott returns to the director's chair for Alien: Covenant

I'm not sure if you guys consider the Alien franchise a horror or just a sci-fi but I thought I would share this new info I found on the upcoming movie next year. Any other fans of the Alien movies?

So long as it is a big improvement over the dreadful Prometheus.

Alien fans on a HORROR site???? PFFTTTTTT NAAAAAH ::big grin::

I actually just got the second to add to my VHS collection. I more of a 'stick with the classics' type of person, so I don't know how I feel about another Alien movie... but w/e, it's not a series I obsessively follow so won't bother me if they do or don't. I watched Tremors 5, so I'd probably watch this too.

I consider Tremors 1 thru 5 to be mandatory viewing.

The first most definitely, second was okay... I can't take them seriously after that. Assblasters? REALLY? The random time jump was weird but tolerable. It was interesting to see people from a different time with much different weaponry defend themselves. 5... I realized after this I don't love Jamie Kennedy, I just loved his character in Ghost Whisperer.

I didn't care for the first Tremors. So I blissfully didn't even know there were sequels until somebody mentioned Tremors 5 in 2015, a day that I will likely forget in time.

Anyway, Prometheus seemed to say they were on their way to the homeworld of the beings who created the Alien creatures to destroy man, and created man, if I understood it correctly. I got to see this.

IMO he needs to get his ass in gear already and get this done so Neil Blomkamps Aliens flick can get underway. I cannot wait to see Ripley and Hicks back in action.
