First time logging back here in 5 years...

Hey all,

This post may fall on deaf ears, but I felt like posting here regardless. I doubt anyone here knows me, or my previous account 'Thomasgeorge'.

I was once a very active poster on these forums, way back from 2005 to around 2009 and then a slight return in 2013. Back in 2005, I was only a young boy, I would come here every day after school, vote in the tournaments, talk to friends I had met and find new films that would go on to become some of my favourites. It might not seem like much, but I cherished those days, it might seem like wasted time, but those were some of my favourite memories, as well as being one of my first introductions to the internet. I had a shitty PC that was super slow, I remember posting here all day and night, as well as other horror forums (this was always my favourite though)

On this forum, I won several forum awards (yes, even most irrelevant poster can be celebrated haha) and made loads of friends who I would chat to all day on here and on msn (damn I miss msn). I remember staying up all night to see if I had won and being super chuffed that other members even thought of me enough to vote for me haha.

I remembered this website earlier tonight, when me and my girlfriend were watching a film, a film I remember being suggested to me years ago on this very forum. I wasn't even sure it was still up and running, but upon finding the forum again, I was pleasantly surprised to see that it was still up, and looking very similar to it did over ten years ago. Logging in and going through my old posts and conversations (most are very cringey, but I only around 11 years old at the time haha) has flooded me with nostalgia. The tournaments, the avatars, and signatures I would see every day after school had now returned. The usernames that I would sit up and talk with every night about our favorite films were all still here, some active this year, others not active in a very long time.

I'm not sure how active this forum is nowadays, but back then (jesus, over 10 years ago) it was a great place to come and talk to likeminded people about things you were passoniate about.

I'm not even sure if the people I made friends with all those years ago are even active, but either way, I hope you're all doing well.

Like I said, no real reason to post here, but I just thought I would recount and thank this forum and its members for giving me countless great moments over the years. It's been around ten years since I was seriously active in this community, but it only seems like yesterday I was rushing home from school to see if my favorite movie slasher had advanced in the tournaments haha. As they say, its the simple things.

I'm not sure I will be active here again after today, or if anyone will even read this message, but if you do, thank you for giving people like me a great place to come and meet and talk to amazing people.

Signing out, your most irrelevant poster for three years in a row 2005-2007

Hello.
Some are still around. Some decent new blood too.
Though yeah...I was here then too...the traffic has really died down.

I think pretty much all of these message boards have been on a downward spiral since the dawn of Facebook. I mean technically you can do everything there you can do here but I just like the close-knit isolated website Community more than this huge open network of people who pretty much have nothing better to do then destroy other people's lives because they have no life of Their Own. I will always prefer these smaller message boards over places like Facebook.

Agreed on the preference.

Yep, I remember you!

Whoa, this forum is back online! I think it was about 4 or 5 years ago, the forum was no longer accessible. I checked back for a while, then stopped checking. I don't know if anyone remembers me. I was mildly active for maybe a year or two, then mostly lurked for a while. I was the developer that built Screambox.com, in case that jogs anyone's memory.

Thomasgeorge, you sound like a normal person now. Good for you.

Of course I remember you! You might remember me as "the bloofer lady". Long time.

Hi Georgiemettalica!

Aha, yes, I definitely remember both of you, hammerfan, and The Bloofer Lady. Hello again!
