If I have an analog video camera, can I edit on the computer. And if i can what software do I need and where can i get it?

What's a capture card..?

A capture card is a like any other card that you already have in your computer (soundcard, video card, modem perhaps). Different versions have different inputs to hook up your tv or video camera directly to your computer. Canopus is considered to be one of the best.
Lots of editing software out there. Vegas, Final Cut and Premiere are probably 3 of the most popular.

Yeh mothman, I bought it for ten bucks and painted it. It's cool as.

On my video camera there are both analog and digital out/in ...so if you know someone who have it ...you can send the anolog signals into that camera and use the firewire from it and into the computer....:)
