Hey there

Hello, everyone! My name is Siemelle (Not really! It's just what I go by sometimes and, honestly, it's more interesting than my real name) and I just joined this forum which will be a new experience for me since I've never joined a horror forum before despite my love for the genre. I am thirty-one years old and have been a long time lover of all things horror ever since I was about four or five years old and my sisters allowed me to sit with them and a bunch of their friends during a slumber party as they watched A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984) which would have been circa 1986 which, yes, makes me pretty old! ::big grin:: While I don't claim to know a lot about horror, I know a good deal and am always eager to learn more not just about different films I'm not familiar with, but also little known facts about those I've already seen, information about the actors, about hidden themes I may have missed, etc. I love all types of horror from the ghost story to the slashers, gothic to modern, all the way to classically good versus classically awful films. My favorite horror film has to be Night of the Demons (1988) because it's so much fun for me to watch and just fits perfectly into the films that are not classics because they are masterpieces, but classics because they are full of flaws. Love it!

I hope to learn a lot while I am here! Thank you all!

I would have had a heart attack if I saw A Nightmare on Elm Street at five years old O_O

I still get scared when I watch it.

To be fair...

...I did pee on my sister's pillow....::sad::

Hopefully I won't make too many of such admissions here. lol

Honestly, that movie still makes me wanna pee, but at least I have a lot better control of that which everyone is thankful for.

Welcome to the forum! ::EEK!::

I have you beat in the age department....I'm 55. I've also been a fan of horror since about 5 years old, watching the old Universal movies on TV, then in high school (in the 70s) watching "Dr. Shock" on Saturday afternoons.

I can easily say this is the best forum I've been a part of. Great and active community, no big arguments, and actual discussions. I hope you like it here.
