Haven't heard the album, but looked over the tracks, and listened to "O Holy Night"... the hymn itself is one of the best Christmas compositions, along with "What Child is This", "O Come, O Come, Emmanuel" and The First Noel.
I just assumed you'd be averse to gospel or christmas hymn music. ::embarrassment::
This version of O Holy Night, it's just not my preference, in that, Mariah does vocal runs throughout the entire song. Some songs invite or need it, and some are rather fragile against it or don't need it. I get my hair blown back with the Carrie Underwood's version, where I think it rides the natural emotion power of the composition.
