MBV3D 71% Tomato rating

I probably would have seen this anyway, but I'm surprised it's been so well received by critics. Definitely gonna check it out.

But it's not in 3D in my area :(

From what I'm reading it's kind of a throwback to the movies from the 70s/80s.....good old fashioned scares and NOT the "torture porn" that seems to permeate most horror movies today.

That's a bonus in my book.

Ah, an "expert" (i.e., pretentious film school student). Fortunately, I've honed my skills in tuning out narcissistic blow hards. ;)

Wait- I'm a nacissistic blowhard for pointing out there's a thread on this film already?

fuglystick 01-18-2009 07:42 PM

No, not at all; I didn't read very far down the thread because of the spoiler warning. I haven't seen the film yet, although I plan on it, and didn't want to contribute to a thread that I wasn't going to read for fear of stumbling upon the spoilers.
