literally 'make my day'

Wel,l someone else posted a non horror so i thought i would. The film i am trying to remember is a thriller type film. The bits i rember is someone has a remote controlled car with a bomb on it (i think) they are chasing an actual car with, in order to blow it up. I think its through the streets of sanfransisco as it has that famuos hill that cars always race down.(i think) it also has an evil bloke who dresses in womens clothes and smashes a girls face into a mirror. (though that maybe a different film)I want to say its a clint eastwood film, and i thought it was 'dead pool' but its not. It was ninheties i think, possibly early to mid. Its a pretty famous film and the remote car thing scene is also pretty famous so i hope it wont be too difficult for you all

You sure its not Dead Pool?
The Dead Pool- Remote control bomb chase.
This was the final film of the Dirty Harry series. In it a killer sends a remote control car after Harry Callahan. The car has C-4 on it and is rigged to explode. So the little remote controlled car and Harry race through the streets of San Francisco. It looks funny but it works since the threat is large enough and the villain happens to be a special effects expert in this film. The scene is played almost for laughs judging by the music they choose. Still, it is an incredibly memorable chase scene through an iconic city that almost seems to be paying homage to Bullitt.

there was another movie with a remote control car bomb

Waking The Dead [2000] http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0127349/?ref_=nv_sr_5

scratch that

upon further investigation that may have just been a remote bomb in the car

we are back to Dead Pool

Will try dead pool again , thanks. Probably my dippy mind getting mixed up ! I was sure it wasn't that. I remember the dead pool for two reasons, Jim Carey in a junkie rockstar role and the bloke who wrote horror films, Liam Nielsen? And cool horror posters on his walls. Hope that is the right film and I've not just started more pondering! The way jake describes it I'm pretty certain it is dead pool. Thanks all anyway
