Re: Chainsaw

Heya all - just looking for a place to get a good looking replica chainsaw for a film i am going to shoot?

I've bought the 27" yellow chainsaw massacre prop, but it's not realistic enough ..

i'd love to get my hands on the chainsaw in this - http://www.horror.com/php/article-202-1.html

Anyone got ideas or suggestions?

(besides getting a real chainsaw! i dont wanna get anyone killed in my movie! - not for real anyways!)

Thanks guys!

just get a real one and remove the blades.it'll certainly look and sound the part.

that's definitely the best way to go. at this haunted house around here this guy useta come out with a chainsaw sans blades, and it was scary as crap! and he could even put it on people (not directly on their skin) and it wouldn't hurt em at all. I wouldn't necessarily recommend that.

you dont even have to remove the blades .. just drain the oil, gas, and take out the spark plug ..

I used to work at this haunted hayride where I live and we always used a real one without the blade it worked great, that is definitely the best way to go.:)

why remove the blade - he said he wanted realism!???

you could also save on fake blood!

yep - the blade cant hurt anyone unless it's spinning ..
just drain the gas and oil ... and pull the sparkplug to be on the safe side..no way the thing can power on then.

if the blade is gone it'll look weird ..
