Watch full free movies on Youtube!

YouTube has introduced a new free movies service after successfully striking a deal with US-based Studios like Lionsgate, MGM and Sony Pictures as well as Blinkbox in the UK.

A catalog of full length 400 movies that include both Hollywood and Bollywood flicks is available at http://www.youtube.com/movies. Full length movies were already available on YouTube but only for select regions. Now, it's been made available to the entire world.

From a number of Jackie Chan movies, to classic horror movies like Night of the Living Dead, loads of movies can be watched on-demand for free.

Donagh O'Malley, YouTube head of video partnerships, said, "This is one of many efforts to ensure that people can find all the different kinds of video they want to see, from bedroom vlogs and citizen journalism reports to full-length films and TV shows."

We hope YouTube will consider including on-demand paid HD movies in future. However, as of now, if you have a YouTube enabled TV then you can stream full length movies on it at no cost. Of course, you'll have to pay for the Internet connection.

The horror section has many good watches like -

Night of the Living Dead (o)
Horror of the Zombies (aka) The Ghost Galleon
Snake People (Boris Karloff)
Zombie Wars
House on Haunted Hill (o)
Sisters of Death
The Last Woman on Earth

Maybe I've been one of those in a "selected region," I've been able to watch full movies on youTube for a while. Nice place to catch a 50's era creature feature.

I think fans like me living in a fucking 'remote region' where we are not allowed/favored to buy dvds online and doesn't have the proper internet speed/facilities to see movies online---are truly grateful to have a site like youtube where many generous horror fans from America & Europe loves to upload a whole classic horror film part by part (mostly divided into 9 to 10 parts) in youtube and that gives me the 'rare' chance to check out many awesome movies so far.

All Hail YOUTUBE!:)

Aren't most (if not all) public domain films and available to download free ?

neverending 09-02-2010 10:57 AM

Not all the films in the service are public domain.

BTW V- the link to the horror section takes me to an error page that says "service unavailable."

Hula is a great site....been watching movies on there for awhile. Looks like their working on some pay service....hope that doesn't decrees the movies for free. Also...XBOX LIVE is upping the yearly gold service by $10. We're going to be able to watch Hula on there as well as some other additions.
