saw ... the best series in the horror movie?
 

hello
when I see movie ..... often be horror film
but I notes that most of films are have same ideas .... but when I saw a Saw 1...
I see an incredible film has
a new and unique idea ....
and now I rate the saw is the best film in the world ....
and saw 1 is the best of all parts.....
do you think what I think?

As you can guess by my name, I'm a huge fan of the series. I wouldn't say it's the best Horror series ever, although it is among my favorites, but I think it's a great one for sure. I know it gets a lot of hate but I really enjoyed seeing how it all intertwined and I enjoyed the creativity.

If I were to rank the entire series in my order of preference it would go:


Saw II
Saw
Saw VI
Saw V
Saw IV
Saw VII (AKA Saw 3D)
Saw III

but I like the saw 1 more than all ..
because all thing was unmeaning and unclear .....
the scene when "john" get up is a very surprising and unexpectant.....
the 2 is very good but was clear that "john" who play these games .....

Saw films remind me of my childhood when My sis and I would try and outwit each other when we fought ( so I cant take them very seriously)..Saw film plot..."if you put your hand in that box to retrieve that key your head will explode as the key is infact a timer to the bomb ive sewn into your face which is now the key to the life of that child with cancer you ran over and left in a coma blah, blah, blah..

Me neither but I've wanted to since I heard of it. Certainly seems like a strong precursor to Saw.

Saw: Rebirth Prequel Comic.

Thought I'd share that for any fans. The animated version of the comic is pretty rare, and definitely a cool treat for any fan. I've seen fans discount it as part of the series due to the backstory being contradicted in the fourth film, but I think it can fit in easily enough. Definitely some interesting additional backstory on Jigsaw is provided in it.

I know I posted my ranking before in the series but I think we all may as well post how we rank the series in order of preference. Mine goes: 2 1 6 5 4 7 and 3. The seventh one was something of a letdown after the surprisingly very good Saw VI, but I find it's made better when watched together with the sixth movie, both help to make for a decent series finale.

I really liked the first Saw. I thought it was a pretty damn good horror film. The rest in my opinion are a waste of time. Not all good movies need sequels.

There's been news lately that the series will be rebooted. Not surprised the studio is already planning another possible new entry.

Bad First Impression
 

When I finally did get around to watching a Saw movie I ended up seeing Saw III first, so it might have just been a bad first impression.

whats with the small writing ,don't you have any consideration for us old folk?

I played the first video game but have yet to play the second one. I rather enjoyed the first.

Used to use much smaller writing back on this old forum I used to post on afew years back. :P
@Jigsaw_Killer: The first videogame was alright, challenging as hell, but alright, I liked it while playing it, too. Never bothered with the second one, however.

The pipe puzzles in the first game were maddening to go through.

For anyone interested, Welshy of That Guy With The Glasses recently started his Saw Retrospective and thus far has covered up to Saw III, he'll be doing the rest of the series soon. Watched all the videos he did so far, not bad.

For me in order to best to worst would be:

1. Saw
2. Saw II
3. Saw VI
4. Saw V
5. Saw III
6. Saw 3D
7. Saw IV

I love the Saw films....My def fav is the first one tho x

Did anyone else think the blood in Saw 3d was a bit raspberry sauce like????lol!
