i enjoyed it .. but i'll never be able to get my head around the scene where the one guy is holding one leg against the bathroom door while chopping through the wall ...

they kept the shots short and frantic as to distract but it was still pretty goofy ..

i can suspend my disbeliefe to accept werewolves but once you set up the rules (i.e. the fuckers are strong as hell) it drives me mental to see the rules broken for the sake of a bit of action ..

again, that being said .. it was a fun film.

AUSTIN316426808 01-27-2005 09:34 AM

not really got it at the local Wal-Mart.

AUSTIN316426808 01-28-2005 10:59 AM

actually i did way more than i obviously had to because i figured it wouldn't be hard to find so i went across the city to a store which i don't recall the name of that only sells movies and other items associated with movies, but they didn't have it so i went to a couple other stores like it and couldn't find it then i went to Wal-Mart to get the other films i mentioned because i knew they'd be there plus they'd be cheaper. It was the first thing i came across, so I made it hard to find when all i had to do was walk into Wal-Mart.

The Driller Killer
Escape From LA
Screamers
Slash
An American Werewolf In London
Ninja Scroll

42ndStreetFreak 01-30-2005 11:14 PM

"Ninja Dragon" - Cheap as cheap thing DVD of yet another cut 'n' paste slice of craziness from Godfrey Ho and his much exploitated actor of cheap choic Richard Harrison.

"Kansas City Confidential" - 1950's noirish thriller starring the great Neville Brand, Jack Elam and a very young (and hairy) Lee Van Cleef, on yet another cheap as a cheap thing DVD.

"God Told Me Too" - Cheapy release of Larry Cohen's unusual horror/sci-fi thriller.

42ndStreetFreak 01-31-2005 01:16 AM

Just popped through the letter box...

An upgrade of "Sudden Impact". Shame it could not have ended here instead of the piss awful "Dead Pool".

"Manos Hands of Fate:MST3K - Annoyed! According to DeepDiscount this has the film on it's own as well as the MST3K version...but all there is is the MST3K version!

filmmaker2 01-31-2005 07:50 AM

LISZTOMANIA!

They had stacks of VHS copies at the 99 Cents Store, so I bought as many as I could. Make nice little presents. Just put a cute little bow on, and yer all set.

The_Return 01-31-2005 04:00 PM

I had a Zellers gift card that was begging to be used, so I grabbed Mars Attacks! today. Looking forward to it

Tat2 01-31-2005 05:29 PM

The Alien Quadrilogy
AVP
Anatomy (German)
The Punisher (2004)
The Breed

AUSTIN316426808 01-31-2005 11:48 PM

Every year at this time I go out and either rent or go to the theater to see the oscar nominated films (not 100% sure but 97 was my fav year) and it wasn't until I got into blockbuster that I realized that I've seen Ray already and the other four are still at the theater so I just desided since I was already there to blow off the oscar films and just pick up a few movies from blockbuster.

finally picked up some films I've been wanting forever

As Good As It Gets
The Fog
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind(I moronicly rented this enough times to buy it twice, couldn't find it anywhere for sale but I should've just waited)

AUSTIN316426808 02-01-2005 02:50 AM

films I can't find anywhere for some strange reason.

The 6th Sense
A Beautiful Mind
The Punisher('04)
Dog Day Afternoon(I know this is old but you should be able to walk into any video store and find it)

42ndStreetFreak 02-01-2005 03:20 AM

cool, thanks.

and as for having different taste, concerning horror I'm pretty much genric I think Halloween and the Shining are the best ever and that whoever made Jason X should be covered in blood and thrown in a shark tank. But when it comes to movies outside the genre I probably have different taste than mostly everybody here, for example Chicago is one of my favorite movies and I'm pretty confident that no one else here likes it.

Gren the cake 02-02-2005 01:52 AM

:D i havent seen halloween (shut up, im seeing that on sunday too) and i did love the shining. i tend to like the smarter, older type stuff. as for ichi, well its just gonna be so hor rbily disgusting that it may be good! anyways, its japanese. o ya, jason x was dreadful!!!!!!

i didnt see chicago, but i absolutely LOVE moulin rouge..... ;). i think its cool ur willing to state that cuz i dont think most here would LOL

I've heard every gay joke in the book for Chicago and Moulin Rouge so I don't have any problem saying I like both of them alot because nobody here can say anything I haven't already gotten from my friends.

Gren the cake 02-02-2005 02:10 AM

:P not about being gay its about being OPEN to all kinds of things. thats like picking a favorite color, sure u can have a favorite but it wouldnt be any fun without ALL of em.

:) sounds like u are well rounded, cultured individual!!!!
