Yeah... PREACHER is a GREAT friggin' series... HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Other honorable mentions include THE WALKING DEAD, THE CROW, HELLBOY, 100 BULLETS, almost anything by Alan Moore, FABLES, and Y: THE LAST MAN.

If I had to pick just one book, though, I think it would have to be LEAGUE OF EXTRAORDINARY GENTLEMEN... what a read.

(Volume One was awesome... Volume Two... whoa.)

I'm such an idiot I completely forgot Hellboy(thanks Dirk)I first caught a miniseries in DHP "The Wolves of St. Augustine",been hooked ever since!

And Dark Horse's Alien vs. Predator series should get a nod aswell.:cool:

Astro City.
The art, the varying storyline, the depth, the dialogue.
All there. The third series wasn't GREAT, but overall the title
has remained pretty consistant.

Y - The last man is pretty great for an ongoing title also.

The spirals... they consume...
 

Anyone not willing to give UZUMAKI a look just because it's "Manga" is really, REALLY missing out.

Yes! Astro City is awesome. It's amazing what can be done when writers leave behind the DC/Marvel worlds and characters. Have you read the one-off Samaritan special?

I questioned whether or not Uzumaki counts because it's technically 3 books
