I really need to learn how to resize pics. Not one goddamn pic off my phone is small enough to work on this site...

So today I had a day off work...didn't really have to take the whole day, but I just felt like "I'm in the work day already...stuff it".
I took River out for a babycino and some toast. So we're sitting there eating and drinking and like what tends to happen sometimes, I look at her and thought how pretty she was ::love:: So I told her, like I always do. I took a photo - so I thought hey I'll come in here and update with said picture because it sure turned out pretty well. Standard update: It's been a while. This whole thread really puts in perspective how things go on FFWD when you have a kid...I remember when I *was* a kid, it felt like you had to wait for some things, now it's like everything is on top of me before I know it. River is 4 and a half now, almost exactly. She's a walking, talking proper "child" now. I mean she's still my baby, but, yknow childbaby. She can be extremely annoying at times. She is willful. Questions everything. Often won't listen. Often gets herself in trouble despite me trying to do everything to avoid that...the lessons we learn I suppose. She's also an awesome kid. She's funny. She trolls. She kind of makes jokes. Pulls faces. Tries to scare mummy. She's thoughtful, and actually worries and sympathises and tries to help people when they're sick or hurt. Overall, I like the person that she is...she can be a complete clown, but also has this depth of character that I really wouldn't have expected at her age. As I tell her (at times of peace) I'm proud of my beautiful girl. |
