Those carpenter bees can sting but they really retaliate as much as a honeybee. So do not worry they don't really sting people. the only person that I know that has been stung by one was my grandfather, that's because he tries to hit them with a tennis racket. The little bumble bees don't really sting people that much. If you step on one bare footed your going to get stung.
Really bees can sense fear and when a person wigs out when they see a bee the bee thinks that the person is attacking him so the bee defends itself. Honey bees can only sting you once. Their stinger is barbed so it comes off when they sting you. The honey bee soon dies after stinging you, Because when the sting is pulled out it pulls out with it a muscle that helps pump the venom through the sting into its attacker.
