Well with mushrooms you have to grow in dark cool places such as a closet or a basement. I recommend the starter kit. Another recommendation I would grow button mushrooms.

Here is something you should try growing sometime. Turmeric, its root is a rhizome (I think that's how you spell it) I heard that it does wonders for arthritis and is great for flavoring food if grounded into powder. But when winter hits you have to dig them out of the ground or the will perish. You would have to order these from India or other places in the east. Warning it tastes very bitter on its own but is good for you.
