If you like your gore crude and plentiful not to mention one of the best low budget creature designs to date I higly recomend it! And If you think mama (pictured) is the deadly spawn your wrong cause it brooded face ripping little ones lol

"Deadly Spawn" is a fine movie. A loooooong time ago I had the Cinemagic issue with the behind-the-scenes stuff on the makeup and creature effects...I used to read that thing over and over. It got lost to time, unfortunately (as did Cinemagic...although Don Dohler is still making movies, now on digital video!).

Nice puppets. Fun stuff. Yeah, I'll put in an order for that baby. Synapse is fast becoming a favorite video company. They have the guts (so to speak) to release the really bizarre titles.

Thank god they do considering Anchor bay has wussed out and hasn't put out anything truely obscure in a long time long live Synapse,Unearthed,Blue Underground hell even Media Blasters is improving!

i saw this a long time ago, also on vhs. sometime around 1982-3 i think. not bad at all, from what i can remember.
