I thought it was OK I bought it but I buy almost all horror films, the attorney getting cut in half was a good scene and the girl in the bathtub was pretty cool too, but I have to say somethings is missing. Almost everyone survived, didnt like that, and didnt get to see the ghost enough. I thought that the make up that was done on the ghost was very cool, and the house itself was neat. I cant imagine what it must havve cost to build the set for that film but I have a feeling it didnt make money. But I wouldnt say it was a bomb.

I think the only thing I liked about this movie is the extra stuff that is on the DVD.. But I do like the scene where the attorney get split in half, that scene is worth my money

Had some good effects, but the ending sucked in my opinion.

Yeah, the ending was classic, that's for sure. Rah Digga saves the day by spinning the record. WooHoo.

This will probably be a no contest but what is your favorite death in this movie? Mines is when the lawyer split. I liked his one-liner he said. "Hey, nice tits".:p

I think mine was the death of Matthew Lillard (He got his back broke if I recall). I'm not a big fan of that guy.

My favorite death scene is in the very beginning where the guy's body gets crumpled by the wrecked car. I loved that whole opening. Too bad the rest of the movie wasn't that good.

Probably not a good idea. Don't waste your time. Just my opinion.

I thought the movie was rad, but I agree with everyone else, the ending was horrible. It was one of the dumbest things i've ever seen. The last good movie I saw, was Wrong Turn. Not bad at all.

I loved the ghost effects... my favorites would be:

The Jackal (Cage on head/straightjacket guy)
The Juggernaught (Big guy from first scene)
The Great Child and Dire Mother (A duo, but great looking)
The Torso (Hilarious, but never does anything)
The Angry Princess (Cool, pretty hot too)

I wasn't too fond of:

The Torn Prince (Looked too "BH 90210")
The Pilgrimess (Impotent Granny)
The First Born Son (Creepy, but annoying)
The Withered Lover (Too soft)
The Hammer (Just weird, I felt)
The Bound Woman (Another Impotent one... Not as funny as the torso)

I liked the movie overall, but the whole thing with the Quicksilver flares and the lady named "Kalina" was just boring... But that machine was pretty cool...

*FADE OUT*

Movie sucked. One of the worst I ever seen. Had it not been for that hottie Shannon, I wouldve changed the channel when it first aired on HBO.

it was too much of a classic, and too much heroic stuff, like, why the hell did the father jump in the middle of that spinning thing since the nanny saved the day? and as we all expected it, he jumped at the right time and landed in the right posision, next to the children, and what do you know??? his wife is in the whole story with the " i wil always love you" scene, also classic, the ghosts stories was more interesting than the whole movie, there is one thing i tell you,

everything has been said before, written before, filmed before, dont think you will find something that will leave you speechless...

to mention my sin, i thought that the jackal was a woman, till i saw the extras.....

see, the stories of the ghost were better than the movie. they should branch off and make 13 new movies, one for each of the ghost.....

that would be pretty cool. id like to see what the jackyl was all about......

I love Dark Castle movies. I connected with the Angry Princess so much that I got her symbol as a tattoo. Awesome movie.

Deamona

what was her symbol? should i tell you that the angry princess was a psycotic woman with so many complexes she blinded herself? and generaly, she had lost her marbels

13 Ghosts was NOT a remake at all. It was NOTHING like the original, at least not enough to justify them stealing that title.

The original is considered in some circles to be a classic ghost story, whereas the modern one was a disjointed conglomeration of half-baked ideas strung together by a weak story. They had the good sense to steal a title that would generate enough interest to make a few bucks before REAL horror movie fans got wind of the trickery.

It would have been a better movie for me if they had titled it appropriately, because I saw it, expecting a true remake. They could have just as easily stolen another classic movie title: "The Glass House" LOL!

I agree that the stories of the ghosts is what really made the movie amazing to me. Overall, 13 ghosts is one of my favorite horror's.

Haha. The makeup was good. A good set too. I wonder how much the glass house cost? hmmm. i loved the movie but it was definitely a far cry from the classics.
