Okay, i was just looking at my Vampire The Masquerade threads in Games, and was reminded of an Aaron Spelling fueled atrocity called Kindred: The Embraced. Anyone else ever see this pile of shit?

Fox saw that the Vampire game was extremely popular, saw that it had good story potential, so they gave it to Fucking Spelling, and he "MElrose Place"d it.

Was it a compelling Drama about Vampires? No, it was a lame ass primetime SOAP OPERA about vampires....

It was awful on so many levels... they couldnt even get the clans right.

The Nosferatu are supposed to be absolutely hideous to look at. The 1 they had in the show was moderately weird looking.http://www.scifi2k.com/kindred/kindred_ghoul2.JPG

Gangrel are supposed to be fiercly independant drifters.... The one in the show was a little punk-ass who hung around the head guy's house all the time.

The Brujah are supposed to be fucking hard-core leather wearing "fuck the establishment" rebels who dont get along with anyone, even each other... In the show, they were mildly disagreeable, and wore FUCKING SUITS!!!! According to the game, they were stuffy at one point in their history, about 4-500 years ago.... And the "main" one was played by the guy who also played the shape changing alien in the X-Files (Brian Thompson (http://imdb.com/name/nm0859921/) )... At least Arnold Killed him in Terminator...

Is anyone else familiar with this travesty?

And/or, was there a show made with what you thought was a good concept, and then took a whopping shit on it?
