hey folks, been a long time.
also been a long time since I've built upon my dvd collections, (years as a matter of fact) picking up some new ones with some leftover xmas money.
ordered
Kichiku Dai Enkai (banquet of the beasts)
http://www.amazon.com/Kichiku-Dai-Enkai-Shigeru-Bokuda/dp/B0002VEUVW/ref=sr_1_1?s=movies-tv&ie=UTF8&qid=1325140520&sr=1-1

and one i haven't heard of but sounds fantanstic by the synopsis/reviews -
Things
http://www.amazon.com/Things-Barry-J-Gillis/dp/B0052G4P26/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1325140483&sr=8-1

Anyone seen either of these? Any suggestions for bad little known splatter gems?

anyways, hope you've all been well and such.

Hey Mothman! Good to see you man.

Haven't watched either of those been meaning to check out Things.

Killing Spree (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0093346/) is a good watch if your in the mood for a no-budget trashfest. Watched Slime City (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0234748/) a few months back and enjoyed it too.

I'm pretty out of the loop with this kinda stuff so it'll be interesting to hear some suggestions.

Hey-oh, Mothman. Nice to have you back around.
Severin also put out another really fun flick through their Intervision line called Sledgehammer. It's complete slasher sleaze, shot on video. But I'd definitely recommend it. It's perfect to watch with a group of friends and MST3K your way through: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004N7NJ0Y/ref=s9_simh_gw_p74_d2_i1?pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=center-4&pf_rd_r=1ARWRGTJFMZ62E8JWBS9&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=470939031&pf_rd_i=507846

Dug how there was a limited release of Sledgehammer on VHS. I'll have to give it a spin.

Yeah, that was great. I wanted to pick it up on VHS but never did. The DVD is cool, though. I'd also check out the end-of-year lists from the guys that run Bleeding Skull. I've picked up some serious gems on their recommendations:
