I would have to agree with Gremlins and The Gate.
They are more entertaining then they are scary. In fact, they aren't really scary...at all. I really enjoyed them though.
Gremlins 2 is a decent movie. It's not as good as the original, but I might give it a shot.

So Gremlins and The Gate aren't on it (which they SHOULD be), but I have to agree with:
Drag Me to Hell (still surprised that it was even PG-13 - Could have been R)
The Sixth Sense
Night of the Comet (SO UNDERRATED!!!!!)
The Grudge
The Others
I still haven't seen Secret Window, Mothman Prophecies, or Secret Window, but I've heard good things.
As for 1408 and The Uninvited, not sure I agree (then again, I haven't seen The Uninvited - I just have remake rage).

Agreed. This movie was great. I'm a HUGE sucker for cryptozoology, and here's a movie that does a movie that does a cryptid legend well. Great direction, fantastic acting, and a solid script combines to create a good, creepy suspense-thriller. I absolutely loved it.
Its not exactly horror but The Monster Squad is pretty good.
Need to see this again - Haven't seen it since I was wee.
