I forgot about Piranha and Ernest Goes to Camp. Hahah. Just kidding about that last one. It's not a horror flick, but has anyone seen Wet Hot American Summer? And no, it's not a porn.

Cabin Fever, that counts! They went camping in a cabin in the woods so yep. The end had me laughing, because the movie wasn't racist at all but man that ending was great I won't ruin it.

When I was younger I wrote a story about a Camp. It was done in vein of 80's camp horror flicks. It was about a camp ground build on an indian burial ground that was cursed. (hehe) It was called "Camp Sacred". Anyway, a group of kids went there for summer camp. Eventually the undead souls of the Indians kicked the curse in high gear and their skeletons were resurrected and more or less started a big massacre of the children. I need to write that again now that I'm much older.

motel hell is a good movie.. I like it but I am sure someone wont. Yeah the box set from anchor bay (sleepaway camp) was released in two versions..well actually the first box set was dicontinued.. Glad I got one :D It has a red cross on it and if you were lucky to buy it from Best buy it came with an extra disc.. and the second box set just has sleepaway camp written on it with blood smears.. both are cool...

And I know she will pass it on! I'm sure she'll tell ya the same thing if ya ask her!

The creepiest part of that movie is Chuck Connors in a dress singing a song in a little girl's voice. Scary as hell for obvious reasons.

See there ya go again. Where in the hell do you guys find these movies? I thought I had seen a lot, but, you guys find the stranges movies sometimes. Chuck Conners in a dress? And singing a song in a little girl voice? This is suppose to be what? Horror? Sounds like maybe with comic undertones? What year is this film from?

Trust me, it's horror. I never wanted to see The Rifleman wear a dress. It's from 1979 by the way.

get the updated edition of Creature Features. It is an encyclopedia of horror/sci-fi/fantasy movies.. There is other books that are great for people that want to branch out and learn about obscure horror.. Another book that is good is called spaghetti Nightmares.. You can get this book through videowasteland.com

Creature Features is a must own book for the serious horror buff. Another one I like real well is the Videohound horror book.

See, ya'll cheet! I always did it the old fashioned way. Maybe cause i'm such an old lady! Watching late night cable (when i had it)--my momma rented horror when videos came out--I watch for horror at the video store--and I watch for new ones coming out!
No seriously tho, If i get the extra funds I'll try to get one of the books. I used to use family video's "golden retriever" to look up movies, but that wasn't just horror so ya pretty much had to know what you were looking for!

I wouldn't call it cheating. I just use those books to find horror films that I haven't seen before that may be worth checking out.

I know, I was only teasing! I would if i had one. I've always wanted one like family video has. But with a family to finance i ususally don't get to spend money on books. I used to be an avid book reader (couple days per book), but now i'm.....
MARRIED WITH CHILDREN!!!! :D

Never heard of it! Who's in it and what's it about! Other than being about camping, of course!

It's about a dirty old man who is a caretaker at a camp. No one likes him and so some campers decide to scare the wits out of him while he's sleeping. They do just that, and when he jusmps back in fright he knocks over a candle and burns alive. He gets out of the hospital and goes back to the camp for revenge. It came out in 1981 and it was Jason Alexander's first film (best known as George on Seinfeld). A typical slasher film, but Tom Savini does the effects and if you see the uncut version, it is WELL worth it. In fact, the best scene can be seen right here uncut!

Amazon.com used to sell it but I'm not sure if they do anymore. Check it out if you get the chance!

I'm trying to check it out, having problems with my realplayer. but as soon as that's fixed, I will check it out. Sounds like a very good movie. is it available for rent at video stores? i'd like to rent it if it is.

Unfortunately, I doubt you'll be able to find it to rent. Possibly NetFlix if you rent online. Other than that, you may have to buy it...if that's the case, check eBay for some cheap prices. You can get a VHS copy for the price of a rental probably.

This is really not a "camp" movie But I really love this movie "Mother`s Day" the 3 women do go out to the woods to camp so therefore it is a woodsy campy movie.. Ike and Adley rock in this move.. I have so many versions of this movie it isnt even funny.. Troma released a DVD recently it has some cool shit on it..
