from Scorror.com:
Yesterday, it was announced that first time director Noam Murro decided to leave the project over creative differences. Today, less than 24 hours later, a new director who's very familiar with the subject matter was announced.
Variety reports, "The Japanese director behind the original "Ringu," upon which the 2002 horror pic "The Ring," was based, is in negotiations to helm "The Ring 2" for DreamWorks.
Nothing against Noam Murro, but this is great news and actually increases the interest I have for this film.
FUCK YES! I'm gonna dance!
