Well wouldn't that include such things as Halloween. Cabin Fever. Last House On The Left. The Hills Have Eyes. Evil Dead. Madman. All indie movies that were successfull. Only later after initial success were they backed by major studios/distributors. Oh and nearly forgot the biggie: The Blair Witch Project.

Both Meat Markets and Shatter Dead. They were all made for less than eight thousand bucks.

El Mariachi is of course the ultimate in no-budget entertainment.

Lunch Meat - This movie was made on virtually no budget, but it sucks pretty bad.

Cannibal: The Musical - TROMA at it's best! Trey Parker and Matt Stone in a campy musical about the early days of cannibalism.

Truth or Dare - (No, not the damn Madonna movie!) This movie has the cheesiest soundtrack I have ever heard. There are also lots laugh out loud moments. (Like when the killer is driving down the road and makes a U-turn to go back and mow down a young kid in a baseball uniform with a chainsaw for no reason at all.)
