Universal are set to fire 2 Guns, having snapped up the rights to the graphic novel published by Boom! Studios.
The story revolves around a DEA agent and an undercover Naval Intelligence Officer who unwittingly steal $50m from the CIA for the mob.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the film will be "a throwback to classic '80s buddy cop movies in the vein of Lethal Weapon and 48 HRS, but with a modern spin."
Marc Platt, who also helped bring Wanted to the big screen, will produce for Universal.
