My last paid subscription is nearly up, I've been reccomended some decent free ones in the past but can't remember what was the most highly reccomended.

So if you want to make some suggestions for me it would be greatly apreciated. :)

The Clown is right. AVG is probably the best free antivirus out there, it free, and it updates daily. Its 10 time better than that nortan crap. Also I'd suggest getting Peerguardian2, it constantly blocks different adds and ips that try to connect to your computer. I'd recommend the windows 98 version because its the simplist to use and its as good as the others.

It's what I use on my personal computer; recommended by a friend and has done me no wrong.

Also, I have Spybot: Search and Destroy as well as Ad-Aware 2007 to handle all of my spyware needs. Might want to consider downloading either one or both of those.

My all time favourite computer defense/clean-up program has got to be CCleaner. Not really antivirus like what you're looking for, but it obliterates cookies, lots of spy/adware type things...pretty much everything that clogs up and slows down your computer. Best part is that after its first few sweeps, it only takes like 30 seconds to run...I run it 4-5 times a day.

CCleaner + AVG + Spybot S&D + AdAware = All you'll ever need.

PC Tools has never let me down. All of my computers have it, except Rayne's.

My 'Hitman Pro' has Spyware Doctor, Spybot, Adaware, and about 4-5 others included in it...I don't see any reason to have anything else. It also compresses files and creates space after it's finished checking and removing everything.

Thanks everyone, I should be able to make a decision...

I've already got a few of those things like peergurdian2, but sometimes a message comes up with some like, it is unable to...... I never get to read it all..

Anyway, I'm of to update my p.c

Kaspersky and Nod32 seem to come out on top in the industry tests. I use Kaspersky.
