Fav Horror Movies: Return of the Living Dead, The Friday the 13th series, the first 4 TCM movies and i am quite fond of Wrong Turn

PWC stands for post whore click, gee i bet you can guess what thats all about. some of my homies and i started it over on skforums.com and expanded it to nofacekillaz.com, and ninjachat.com now im over here on horror.com using the same basic sig and screen name i use everywhere

i think the fact that real horror fans are giving the finger to mainstream horror movies and going for better indie flicks is making the mainstreamists try and strive to get the real fans

they arent winning the battle yet, but they are trying

I disagree with part of it. Mainstream will always go for the crowds, and the real horror fans do not make up the bigger crowd. By real, I mean the ones who would go out of their way to find the indie ones.
Like George Carlin said "The reason mainstream is thought of as a stream is because it's shallow"

i think the mainstream realizes that they need some support in the indie communtiy, how else do you explain the ring, the tcm remake, the impending DOTD remake, etc

TCM and DOTD are classics, and The Ring was/is big in Japan.

i know, what im saying is that those films are classics to real horror fans like you and me. but to some soccer playing preppie kid its something totally new. the mainstream cats is using our classics to try and lure us to their crappy movies

and how many mainstream films in the last five years have had the words "70s look" attached to them

one. And TCM and DOTD are classics not just in the horror movie genre. To that same preppy kid, a remake of Taxi Driver or the Wild Bunch would be totally new.
