i watched wishmaster the other night and was surprised at the number of famous (horror) faces and names i saw. kane hodder, ted raimi, angus scrimm, reggie bannister, robert englund, tony todd, and music by harry manfredini. when this movie was released was there something special about it that they brought all these big horror names together?????

ted raimi~ related to sam, i imagine
robert englund~ duh! freddy krueger
tony todd~ candy man
angus scrimm~ tall man, phantasm
reggie bannister~ phantasm
kane hodder~ more popularly known for playing jason in the last few fridays
harry manfredini~ composed the music for the friday films

The reason all these names were brought together was b/c Bob Kurtzman directed the film. Kurtzman is the K in KNB Effects and knows all those actors from past projects. And you forgot some horror guys: Buck Flower, Ricco Ross (Aliens), Joe Pilato (Day of the Dead), Savini is supposed to be in there somewhere, and of course Divoff himself. They had virtually someone from every major horror franchise.

And Ted is Sam's brother.

i knew i was leaving out someone...buck flower! john carpenter has used him in like every one of his films..lol..i guess i just wondered if the movie itself was supposed to be special...thank you for your elaboration!

you gotta love the ones who know what they're talking about ;)
