Blue Star Pictures and Mandalay Pictures have optioned T.S. Faull's original screenplay Living Dead Girl. Eric Tessier is attached to direct.

Faull's screenplay centers on a dead woman who rises from the grave as a zombie to track down her killer and save his latest victim. She is aided on her journey by a handsome funeral director who has a thing for dead girls and helps her stave off decomposition.

Tessier wrote and directed Alliance Atlantis Pictures' 2003 horror thriller Sur le seuil (Evil Words).

Great Rob Zombie song, though! Actually, I have tee-shirt I made, using the image from TLDG DVD. I love it (the image, not the movie!) It never fails to be a conversation piece when I wear it.

I actually was hoping it was about a remake. :( The Jean Rollin movie had so much potential imo.

as far as the plot for this new movie is concerned, it sounds like it would make a good dark comedy.
