I have worked in a maximum security prison for almost thirteen years, and this thread gave me an idea.

I could celebrate year 13 by posting inmate crimes and stupid things they do as an on going thread.

Would any of you be interested in reading them?

I will give you an example:

I watched an inmate yell obcenities at other inmates as he walked to the shower and past their cells. The inmate looked like a dork and it was obvious he was being pressed for sex or commisary.

I closed the shower gate as the inmate walked into the shower. He screamed several more obcenities from behind the bars.
"Fuck you bitches!" and "AAAAAAAHHHHH!" over and over again.

I began laughing hysterically at how the inmate bugged out. He yelled "AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH" as he put his hands over his ears. Then he started chaking his bars as he screamed. This caused the whole block to rock.

I knew it was time to call the brass and get him out of the block and sent to the hole. I told him to knock off the noise even thought I enjoyed the show for around five minutes.

After I told the inmate to knock it off he turned and picked up a bar of soap. I backed a way figuring he would throw it at me. But to my surprise he began taking massive bites out of the bar and spitting them out as he continued to sream and rant.

I literally lost it in front of all those inmates. When the brass arrived the "bug out" didn't protest and he was cuffed and placed in the hole.

The hole is a lock down block for inmates that violate rules of conduct.

This story is nothing compared to what I have seen and if you liked it then I will post more.

Two interested people is good enough for me.

I work at Southern Ohio Correctional Facility (SOCF). It's a maximum security prison in Southern Ohio and is home of the April 1993 Riot.

My employment began in Dec. of 1993, so I started after the riot, but my Dad started in 1983 and retired in 1996. He served during the riot.

I am not sure where to begin, but the first story post happened in 1994. It is the first time I saw an inmate act like a nut. Anyway, 12 1/2 years is a lot of stories to tell, and I will do the best I can.

Another interesting story:

There was an inmate, I will call "M" to protect his identity, who acted out in the strangest ways. The psych. doctors said he wasn't crazy, but I couldn't believe that he faked all he did for the hell of it.

One day, the five man response team with helmets, shield and black uniforms where called to K-6. At the time this is where inmate M locked.

The site they met was strange indeed. All of them where "pumped" to extract the inmate from his cell, but when they saw what he had done to himself... laughter, then disbelief came to their minds.

M had tied a sheet around his genitals then tied the other end to his cell bars. The inmate then leaned back while standing thus holding himself up by his genitals.

It is difficult to explain, but the only thing holding him in the leaning position and on his feet was the sheet tied around his genitals.

This supplied an immense amount of pressure on his privates, and they became extremely swollen. His genitals where a deep red/purple color from the engorged tissue.

The team wasn't sure what to do. So they gave him several direct orders to untie the sheet, but he didn't move or respond to their orders. They called medical staff to ask what would happen if they cut it down.

The medical staff couldn't believe it either and said the inmate should be in pain. Also, if they released the pressure the inmate would feel great pain, but he must be cut down.

So, the team went into the cell and cuffed the inmate then moved him forward as to relieve the pressure. Of course, they cut the sheet at this point.

They still wasn't sure what to do, but decided to call for a gurney and send him to the infirmary for medical attention.

He was checked by the medical staff and the sheet was removed. M did a lot of groaning, but didn't resist any effort to rectify the situation.

Surprisingly, the inmate didn't experience any long term health affects, and would survive to commit more atrocities on his body.

Last week an inmate broke the glass out of his cell window and used a piece of the glass to go after another inmate. He stabbed him in the chest then proceeded to stabbed the other inmate in the head.

The glass broke upon contact of the skull and the stabbing inmate almost cut off his own finger. He then tried to throw the inmate off the top range and onto the concrete below, but failed because guards arrived on the scene to prevent the further assault.

Blood was everywhere from both inmates, but the situation was controlled easily. The reason for the attempted murder according to the accused? The inmate he wanted to kill owed him a pack of cigarettes.

I worked in what is called the "Hole" many times when I first started at the prison. The Hole is really a block called J2 and if an inmate violates certain rules of conduct like fighting, disrespect, etc. they are escorted to the Hole and they lose their privileges until they are released after a hearing on their conduct violation report.

Anyway, I was working the Hole one evening and a certain inmate in a strip cell kept banging on his cell door. Banging on the cell door is very common for pissed off or bored inmates. The inmate continued banging and I knew he wasn't hurt, and didn't want to be bothered for some stupid request.

I knew the inmate was playing a game, but he was persistent. Finally, I asked him what was wrong and he replied, "I need you to call the nurse."

I walked in front of his cell and didn't see any signs of injury and asked the inmate why he needed to see the nurse and he replied, "I need you to call the nurse because I have seven hot dogs in my ass."

I didn't know what to do and wondered how he got seven hot dogs. I realized the porter that served the trays must have given him extra and this inmate decided to fuck his ass with seven of them and they were now stuck.

I told him to shit them back out and walked away from his cell. I never heard much more from the inmate and when my shift ended I left for home. I never called the nurse because what harm would stuffed hot dogs do to someone's ass?

Here is another story...

A guard gave an inmate his nail clippers while he was locked in the shower. At the prison I work this inmate locked in a high security block and they remain behind bars and get recreation for one hour, five days a week. Also when they take a shower at the end of the range they are locked behind bars by themselves.

Anyway, it common practice to give an inmate the nail clippers in exchange for their ID badge and the ID badge is returned when they give back the nail clippers. It is a security policy.

Well, this inmate had more than just clipping his nails in mind. The inmate had been in the shower over the time allowed so the guard checked on the inmate. The guard saw a copious amount of blood in the shower stall and much of it was still running down the inmates legs as he stood in the shower.

I must tell you these clippers are dull and what the inmate did defies reason, but he had cut open his scrotum and clipped the cords to his testicles and they, along with the blood was lying in the shower stall.

The inmate seemed to experience no pain and after the guard called for help the inmate was asked why he did this. His reply? "I was tired of masturbating".
