As far as I know they still make them. Sci-fi ran a crapload of their newer ones last year on a show that Bill Shatner hosted. Most of them sucked.

the Puppet Master series were the best movies full moon had:) They also put out the dead hate the living which I have yet to see. For all you wondering Full Moon still puts out movies, they own shadow ent. and tempe so any movies by them are in reality released by Full Moon:)

I had noticed the Band family name on those Shadow films. I didn't want to jump to conclusions though. But now that I know, those Shadow movies kinda suck. Like Darkwalker and Bleed and Jigsaw.

Aren't you even a little concerned about the possible quality of their "new" projects, given the success of their most recent debacles?...I'm not quite certain that Full Moon will ever be what it was...They need to go back about 10 years, try to do it like they used to...when they did it right...I, personally, don't think I trust them anymore...KILLJOY??????!!!!!!!

Hi.

Full Moon are a company that make low budget straight to video horror movies. The most famous and long running being the Puppet Master and Subspecies movies. These films are made really cheaply and really quickly. A lot of them are made in Romania over like a 4 day shoot. Sometimes they get lucky and get a really good director involved like Stuart Gordon but he now seems to be more involved with Fear Factory, a new company doing the same as Full Moon but they are based in Spain. David Decoteau is a director who worked under Full Moon who now runs his own similar company called Rapid Heart again doing the same thing! Cheap straight to video movies that tend to have better cover art on the video sleeves than the production of the movie just so people will rent it! But there are some worth checking out.

So...Anything new from Full Moon?

From FANGORIA (http://www.fangoria.com/news_article.php?id=1840)

Charles Band’s Full Moon Pictures has seemed fairly inactive for the last year or so, but that seems about to change. The company has just opened a new website which reports that a series of new films are being planned. No story details yet, but the site says that these features will be shot on bigger budgets and on 35mm, with Band, Stuart Gordon and Ted (SUBSPECIES) Nicolaou among the directors. The site also offers numerous past Full Moon flicks for sale on DVD, as well as a number of toys and the company’s two newest features: PUPPETMASTER: THE LEGACY and DR. MOREAU’S HOUSE OF PAIN. The latter, helmed by Band from a script by “Earl Kenton” (get it?), is billed as a sequel to H.G. Wells’ original novel, in which a young man tracks his brother, who was suffering from a rare blood disease, to the mansion of the titular mad scientist. The brother became one of the doc’s half-human, half-animal experiments, and our hero becomes one as well, ultimately leading the other “manimals” to revolt. You can check out trailers for MOREAU and LEGACY at the new site.

Check out The new FULL MOON WEBSITE HERE (http://www.fullmoondirect.com/) for trailers.

This is awesome news.
I love Full moon and I am happy they are getting back to doing what they do best.

Here's info on the New Puppet Master

The history of horror began when Andre Toulon, a benign toymaker, became the master of a group of killer puppets. It’s a tale of sorcery, death, resurrection and deadly revenge as told by Eric Weiss, a young boy who was once protected from Hitler’s SS by Toulon. Weiss, now a grown man, has spent his life trying to perfect Toulon’s secret of giving life to the inanimate. In comes Maclain, a rogue agent who wants to peddle the secret on the open market. Maclain breaks into Weiss’ lab, shoots and tortures him, but Weiss will not give up the secret. The tale unfolds, weaving new footage with flashbacks from previous Puppet master films as it becomes a battle of wills between Weiss and Maclain. The new puppet master remains defiant as the assassin moves in for the kill, unaware that Weiss has found the secret and Toulon’s puppets are ready to shed blood for their master again…

At my local video store there's always a bin full of really stupid videos for $2.59. (Actually, this is where I bought American Psycho so they aren't all bad). Anyway, once I bought one called Teen Knight which was about this kid that went to a theme park about the knights of the round table and ended up getting sent back in time.

Anyway to make a long story short, this is my favorite Full Moon video because its the only one I own.

Netherworld, Vampire Journals, Castle Freak, Prison of the Dead (sucked), The Dead Hate the Living (sucked more)...

Even the SEQUELS to their good ones (more than 10 years ago), were way better than any of the shit they have put out since:mad: ...It just really pisses me off because we used to look forward to these, we couldn't wait until the next one came out...Kinda feels like we had something taken from us...It sucks

DEMONIC TOYS! I've got an issue of the comicbook adaptation. I'd like to see that movie.
Netherworld was pretty good.

I thought The Dead Hate the Living was retarded at best. I'd give it maybe a C-. (And that's pushing it.)

Puppet Master (the first couple at least) are pretty good.

Demonic Toys? Ha! That movie was terrible even for the time it came it out! I accidentally made the mistake of buying it for $2.00. After watching it once, I really regretted that I bought it.

That link Zwoti posted says 'Puppet Master vs. Demonic Toys' but there's no year. Was it never released? (I didn't have time to check the link because I got to go to work.)

Seeyas after work. (Go vote on the Tournament of the Living Dead if you haven't already.)

What are some of your favorite Full Moon releases? I grew up watching the first few Puppetmaster Films. I always loved them. Also Dollman vs. Demonic toys was cool. I've been trying to find Trancers 1-6 but dont see them anywhere.

Anyone else like the extremely cheesy Full Moon films?

God, I was a dumbass...

I've seen/own two Full Moon "films" : Jigsaw and Totem. Jigsaw is hands down the worst movie Ive ever seen, and Totem wasnt a whole lot better. Id kind of like to see some of their older stuff like Puppet Master or Subspecies, but Im a tad worried after the piles of crap Ive seen...

I've never really cared for Full Moon movies. The only one I saw that was worth anything was the first installment of "Puppet Master". Crap like "The Dead Hate The Living" "The Horrible Dr. Bones", "Shreiker", "Rag Doll", "Prison Of The Dead", "Witchouse" pretty much suck. But I do have to give them credit. None of those stinkers can rival that utter garbage that York Entertainment delivers. That and New Concorde. Artisan usually makes a lot of crap, too.... but on occasion, they have a handful that are actually okay.

Some of them like Hideous and Head Of The Family are a bit like Troma films...Cheesy (stupid) on purpose...But, kinda fun

i'd say i know Full Moon about as intimately as anyone here that hasnt worked on them ... and even at their best .. they're pretty weak films. a profesional company that never lost the look and feel of amateur film. Never felt they had to.
I know a lot of people want to like them .. several grew up on them as i did (well, at least through the 80's) but not one of their films was what i would consider to be a good or strong film.

its a who's who of non-actors ... Tim Thomerson is the best they had..
(i know Helen Hunt .. and one or two others have shown up in small parts... they hardly saved the films)

the one consistant is that the music ALWAYS sucked.
They also suffered from unorigionality - when they werent ripping off better films they were ripping off themselves.

This is a company that only survived because of home video.
people will rent anything. they know it and have been taking advantage of that for 20 years.

an whats worse than full moon ?
their shitty branch of kids films Moonbeam.

for the record .. i was even a member of the Fullmoon mailing list at one time ..

sort of like an ex smoker .. i simply cant deal with that shit at all now

Yeah, I've seen some that were okay at the very best, but some were so bad that I was kicking myself in the ass for renting em. Dollman is alright, but it's just a little too cheesy for me. And most vampire films I'm just not really into for some odd reason.

LMAO! :D That's a good one. :)
As for crap like New Concorde and York Entertainment, instead of screwing off and pumping out video after video after video, why not take some of that money, save up a little, get a decent budget and make a movie that's actually good?
