Dracula 2000, Dracula II: Ascension and Dracula III: Legacy director Patrick Lussier will helm the sequel White Noise 2: The Light, a collaboration between Gold Circle Films and Brightlight Pictures. The film, written by Matt Venne, is scheduled to shoot in Vancouver in early 2006.

In "White Noise 2," a man's family is murdered and he is brought back from the brink of death. The man realizes he has changed and can now identify those among the living who are about to die. When he tries to save people from their fate, he discovers there is a price to paid for interfering with the natural order of life and death.

The original, which starred Michael Keaton, earned $91.2 million worldwide. Rogue Pictures has acquired U.S. distribution rights for the follow-up.

I liked the 1st one but the 2nd one sounds pretty silly and like their reaching for something to continue the movie.

I thought the first one had potential but it ended up being preety stupied. The second one sounds like its going to be stupied also.

Why is this necessary? The first one wasn't bad, but is this really franchise material? Still, if they keep the atmosphere and most importantly the gloomy ending, it could be okay.
