Dumb question about signatures

Okay, I'm a dumbass about this type of thing, so bear with me here. I notice a lot of you guys have links in your signatures... How the hell do you do that? It may sound silly, but I've been wondering about this for a while now. Thanks in advance for any help.

I think you just copy and paste them, that's how i did my myspace link. If that's not how then i would also like to know.
