Hi,guys.Im Wolfsblood.I was just wondering if you lot could let me know what you consider as " serious horror".Obviously Freddy lost his serious side many years ago.I would love to hear from like minded horror fans who appreciate the genuine scares.

Many thanks

The serial killer in 'Maniac'.

The chick in 'Audition'.

That's all my pre-coffee brain can manage at the moment.

oh...Hi and Welcome.

I used to eat those buttercup(?) flowers all the time as a child.
Not sure if they are offically edible though.

One acre of peanuts will make 30,000 peanut butter sandwiches.

Hi, Wolfsblood. I just registered on the 25th so I'm also new.

Serious horror? I don't know... I can't really think of too many that don't have the cheese factor. I suppose the classic horror movies are more serious. I'm guessing that Dracula, Nosferatu, The Phantom of the Opera, The House on Haunted Hill, The Mummy, and Frankenstein are all considered serious. It depends on what you consider serious I guess. Do you like horror for the blood, guts, and gore? Or do you like it for the ambience?

I was just throwing some titles out there. I really have no idea what horror movies people consider being serious. They all seem to have some cheese factor if you ask me.

I'd consider House on Haunted Hill pretty serious, as far as the classics go.

Henry: Portrait Of A Serial Killer was a pretty serious flick.

Audition is serious. One of the last scenes had me going "oh. oh! OH!!! AAAHHHHH!!!!" which I never do during movies, ever.

High Tension is pretty damn serious, though it's tame compared to Audition.
