Wow, good call. I love Magritte also. My favorites are the paintings of paintings near the window where the canvas blends into the outside.
I'm also big on Salvador Dali and H.R. Giger (both of whom were freinds)

**Well, shit. My image links wouldn't work. Lemme fiddle with it a bit and I'll have some pics up.**
Haunted suggested that I post some stuf here from my man Rick Berry. Hell of a nice guy, and so damned talented. For those of you who are not familiar with his work, he did a ton of paintings for Grant's Gift Editions of The Talisman and Black House. He also has done lots of collaboration with Phil Hale--my second fave of the art world. Hale has done both the 1st and 2nd editions of The Drawing of the Three, and his most recent title, if I'm not mistaken, was Goad.

Those are all Berry's. I may post some Hale another time. I also have some paintings that I got to watch them paint. Rick Berry, Phil Hale, and Michael Whelen. They all did a huge collaboration event for us at PalaverCon. 16 paintings in four hours. It was fucking magic...

H.R. Giger is the predictable choice. Some of my other favorites include Dave McKean, Man Ray (as an amateur photographer, I admire his work quite a bit), Rene Magritte, and Claude Monet.
