THE MOST I'VE EVER GOT OUT OF ANY HORROR MOVIE WAS A JUMP AT BEST. DON'T GET ME WRONG I LOVE HORROR MOVIES THEY JUST DON'T AND HAVE NEVER SCARED ME...

FOR SOME RETARDED REASON THE FIRST TIME I PLAYED RESIDENT EVIL 2 I WAS COMPLETELY SPOOKED OUT.

TELL ME IF YOU UNDERSTAND THIS-TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE,EVIL DEAD,HALLOWEEN-NOT A FLINCH.

RESIDENT EVIL 2-LOOKED OVER MY SHOULDER EVERY TWO SECONDS.

Eternal Darkness was the only game that REALLY SCARED me! It actually messes with your head! It makes you think that your controller came unplugged & that you pushed the volume button on your remote...BUT WORST OF ALL, It made me think that my file had been erased!!!:eek:

Neways, I like Alien Vs Predator 2 and Half Life best though not really scary. (cept for those creepy head things in Halflife and the first alien u meet as the marine, made me jump out of my skin)

Aliens Vs Predator had me shaking, as did the demo for the second. Undying is awesome. i just got it and I'm playing it to review it on my site. I love using scrye on the family portaits.. Gives me the fucking willies...

I used to like the Resident Evil series, but they got kind of old. The style of horror is more "jump out at ya". It's fun for a while, but when you're done playing, the scares don't hang around.

The BEST horror game series is definitely Silent Hill. All three of them. Talk about disturbing! Bleeding rooms, hideous creatures shuffling towards you out of the dark. Particularly the nurses in Silent Hill 3.

Can't wait for Silent Hill 4: The Room to come out!

Also good:

Fatal Frame 1 and 2

Clocktower 3 ---> This one just because it's impossible to fight back until the boss encounter. All you can do is run for your life!

The Suffering ---> Some disturbing images, but great a source of horror references (see the frozen corpse holding the axe in the hedge maze.)

Siren ---> This one creeped me out like Silent Hill. Never before have I felt so helpless! (Except when my hotdogs exploded in the microwave. I'll miss those babies.)

Has no one on this site heard of the nightmare/atmosfear games.

I currently own nightmare 1 & 2 plus harbingers and the new atmosfear.

These are video board games. The newest one ( recently released) is on DVD. They are great fun to play. We even have theme nights where you come dressed as your character. In warm weather we play outside with a small tv set up on the porch with only candle light to see by. In the winter we use the big screen tv and have the fireplace and candles set about the room.

Everyone likes R.E.2 for some reason.
I don't think it is as good as the first.
And I also like Resident Evil: Code Veronica better.
Because it is longer.
