View Full Version : Halloween 9

Halloween 9 should suck, only because Michael has nothing to do now. Nothing is driving him. His whole family is dead, and since H20 and Resurrection make it so 4-6 never happened. If Laurie, comes back again that would be worse.

Any other thoughts about H9?

Fuck.... I liked H20 and Ressurection so I'll probably get into this one. I predict the scarest part of it will be the laughable plot and whatever washed up hip-hop star they'll have in it. Man LL Cool J and Busta Rhymes ruined the last two Halloween movies... that shit just wasn't funny and made a bad movie worse.

Well I don't care I love Myers. I don't care if its Michael goes to Wisconsin I'm still goin.

But yeah it might .......i mean yeah it WILL suck ass but i cant wait :)

I'll love it either way.

Yeah, don't make it. "Halloween H20" was a fine way to end the series on a high note. Too bad they made "Ressurection", which for a sequel no one wanted, wasn't bad, except that it played by "the rules"(as outline in "Scream") way too much. Micheal Myers junkie that I am, I'll probably go see "Halloween 9" anyways, but I still think the series should have ended with H20.

Gotta wonder about H20's rediculous title. "Halloween: Water Molocule"? What the fuck were they thinking?

Halloween 9 Is taking us back to the old stages of Michael stalking babysitters in haddonfield, but it's not in Haddonfield the plot is in Smiths Grove, but Im pretty sure he goes to HMH hospital. Im going to go see this because it's part of the Halloween series but that doesnt mean I have to like it, if your a true Halloween fan youll go see it.

Nemesis412

Yes I agree. I liked Ressurection just cuz of Myers but it DID suck.

Hopefully based on what the shape is saying this movie will be sweet.

I also must say that it is good to hear from the other halloween fans.

Here you go man this is the news, it is set to come out around August.

The ninth HALLOWEEN film, currently in development. "The new movie is called HALLOWEEN: ASYLUM," the scooper tells Fango, "and it’s being written by Matt Venne—whose spec horror script SECOND SIGHT is being produced by Clive Barker’s Seraphim Films—for SUICIDE CLUB’s Sion Sono to make his North American directorial debut. HALLOWEEN: ASYLUM is being set in Smith’s Grove, which became a maximum security penitentiary/asylum after the breakout of ’78. It’s filled with deranged killers and Michael is awaiting execution, harking back to the horror-hospital setting of HALLOWEEN II. This is not going to be some neutered VS. movie, not filled with campy one-liners, etc. Rather, it takes the iconic Michael Myers back to his roots in a very cool setting. It’s really serious/scary/suspenseful in tone, like all the best HALLOWEEN films have been." No one from the HALLOWEEN camp has officially confirmed these details, but we’ll let you know more as we find it out.

Of course, in doing so you will encourage further lousy sequels to be made.

Then you will need to go see them.

I have always liked Jason more than Michael Myers but I have a friend that says Michael is superior just because he can drive. I think that is an incredably studid reason.

01-19-2005, 01:20 PM
Hahah thats cool Static.

Well I like Michael more than Jason and i think jason is freakin sweet. but as your friend goes, being able to drive IS a dumbass reason lol.

I think Mike would be better just because, Mike is Smarter, He waits things out. He is also not that much smaller than Jason and has the same power. While Jason does the same as Michael, Mike make his way around smooth and quitely. while Jason seems to lumber around.

They are pretty much the same in many aspects. While Michael was the original Killer, Jason seems to follow Michael a little too close in the same way.

Don't get my wrong, Static, I love Jason and I want to get the box-set.

If you mean movie wise, It is up to the viewer. I like all kinds but I prefer the look of Myers and the films better in a town but the forest is still scary.

What do you think Static?

I wonder what makes you kids so afraid of new horror concepts, that all you yearn for is more of the bloody same?

Did someone actually say it doesn't matter if H4LL0VV33N 9 is no good, so long as he gets his latest fix of the character Michael Myers?

I blame Fangoria - for years they have splashed horror icons and anti-heroes over their pages and invited readers to cheer them on in the cinemas... it's probably the same celebratory state of mind one can get when reading Spiderman or Batman.

Can't you see you are manipulated by fat-cat producers of these hip, soulless sequels? Perhaps not yet.

Hats off to whoever blasted Jason into space... although the same bastards probably brought him back down to earth to fight that skinny puff in the stripey jumper.

Well, like I said, I still think the series should have ended with H20. Micheal Myers is my favorite slasher character, so I wanted to see him go out on top with his dignity in tact (on the other hand, I could keep watching Jason movies until he's got to chase people around in a wheel chair.). Despite this, I'll probably still trudge out to see H9. I still got a kick out of Resurrection.

But I still think they should put Danielle Harris back in the series if they insist on making more. And she should get naked. But what the fuck do I know?

EXTR3MIST
01-20-2005, 11:31 AM
Fangoria is better these days, though -

There is less celebratory nonsense toward the anti-hero icons and more down-to-business reports on all aspects of the genre (they would ignore the recent explosion of interest in Far-Eastern horror for example at their peril).

The Dark Side, which is a UK production, is more of a fanzine by comparison - this could be a virtue, but slack editing and lazy, outdated articles have kept this one vitually unread even over here.

Nemesis412
01-20-2005, 03:47 PM
I think I know what it is. Loomis. I miss Loomis. He was the man.

If he was still here.......I don't think the series woulda taken a downfall. I mean think about it. Alot of ppl didnt like 7 or 8 and YEP LOOMIS WASNT IN THEM so that answers it.

Michaels Shape

Nemesis412

Of course, I mean the whole idea of 8 sucked but if Loomise was there it woulda made the movie sweet. Just him being around has made the movies what they are today. Him and Myers were the only 2 to ever be fully involved in the series.

Lets face facts, guys, there is never going to be a halloween sequel that will outclass the original no matter how many sequels...so why bother. Even though i think Micheal Myers is so fucking cool, i think they should just leave him alone...or at least put a new spin on the halloween tale to make it fresh again.
Any opinions?

Season Of The Witch was an ok story. The only reason that it is disliked so much is because it has nothing remotly to do with Micheal Myers...John Carpenter meant Mr Myers to remain dead after Halloween II and wanted to release more different scary movies under the halloween tittle.

Put Tommy back in raising Michael's nephew, Michael was killing off all of his family...

Was I the only person who was surprised to see Jamie Lee Curtis DIE in Ressurrection?

I never judge a film on it's merits or as good as it could have been... how bad could it have been with The Rock in it? Suddenly Busta doesn't sound so bad (The Rock does a Rock Bottom on Michael)
